This is a coin minted in the 2nd year of the Xuantong reign (AD 1910), produced by the Kashgar Mint in southern Xinjiang. Modelled after coin designs from central China, it was machine-struck and issued exclusively in the 5 Mace denomination. During the Xuantong era, the Kashgar Mint minted three types of silver coins: “Great Qing Silver Coin,” “Xuantong Silver Coin,” and “Xuantong Yuanbao.”

The obverse of this coin features two concentric beaded circles. At the centre, surrounding a circular dot, are the characters “宣統元寶” (Xuantong Yuanbao) engraved in a clockwise order starting from the top, followed by the characters for the mint location “喀什造” (Mint by Kashgar) and the denomination “伍錢” (Five Mace) on the top and sides, respectively. At the bottom edge, there is a blurry inscription in Uighur script: “ضرب كاشقر بەش مىشكال” (Struck in Kashgar, Five Mace).

The design of this Xuantong Yuanbao coin largely follows the style of the Xuantong Silver Coin but with minor modifications in the Chinese characters. The “Xuantong Yuanbao” coins can be subdivided into three types based on the central design: “five-pointed star,” “five-petal flower,” and “circular dots.”

The reverse of this coin shows significant wear, but the central design is still discernible. At the centre, there is a five-clawed dragon encircled by a beaded circle. Surrounding this central motif, there is a continuous floral pattern between the beaded circle and the solid outer ring.

這是一枚宣統2年(公元1910年)，新疆南部的喀什銀圓局仿效漢地，以機械鑄造的「宣統元寶」，僅有五錢一種面額。喀什銀圓局在宣統年間，先後鑄造大清銀幣、宣統銀幣和宣統元寶三種銀幣。

錢幣正面有兩道珠圈，正中央圍繞著圓點，按上、下、右、左的順序鐫刻漢字「宣統元寶」字樣。外圍的上緣和左右兩側，分別以漢字打印鑄造地「喀什造」和面額「伍錢」。最下緣以模糊的維吾爾文「ضرب كاشقر بەش مىشكال」標示鑄造地點和面額「喀什造，伍錢」。宣統元寶大致沿用宣統銀幣的版型，僅有小部分的漢字修改。而宣統元寶按照正中央的紋飾能細分為「五角星、五瓣花和圓點」三種版型。

錢幣背面的磨蝕較為嚴重，勉強能辨別錢幣的細節。最中央是一隻被珠圈包圍的五爪蟠龍。最外圍的珠圈和實心圓之間，則有連續的花草紋飾作為裝飾。
